Stock exchange investors can use of the European boom in the field of staff consultancy services.

Why does Work Service enter the stock exchange?

Tomasz Szpikowski, President of the Management Board of Work Service

Eight years ago as students of the Academy of Economics in Wrocław together with Tomasz Misiak, current vice-president, we established Work Service. The company capital was equal to 4 k PLN. In spite of a large competition and customers’ distrust to temporary form of work, we managed to reach the success. At present the company has been the potentate at the market of employment agencies, giving work to nearly 100 thousand of people every year. Up to now neither we have sold our shares nor paid dividend to ourselves. We have been focussed at the development of the company. However, a company cannot dynamically develop on the ground of its own resources only after reaching a certain stage. It is necessary to seek the external investment capital.

At what do you intend to allocate it?

We wish to strengthen our top position nationwide and build a strong position at international markets. In several years we want to become a significant player at the market of medium-sized specialised employment agencies in Western Europe. We intend to conquer new markets thanks to acquisitions in our business lines and similar trades. It will open the doors to new market areas for us. By investing in Work Service shares, stock exchange investors will have a unique opportunity to make use of European boom for services related to human resources management

Do you run your business activities beyond Poland?

Yes. At mature markets of the European Union: in Germany, Holland, Great Britain, and Ireland as well as at other dynamically developing markets: in Romania, Czech Republic and Slovakia. Beyond the European Union we have been present at the markets which have gigantic growth opportunities; these are in Russia and Ukraine.

You will be the first employment agency at the Warsaw Stock Exchange. Are there companies in your business line at other stock exchanges?

Of course. The forefront of the world employment agencies, which also run their business in Poland, for example Adecco, Man-power, Randstad, have been present at stock exchanges. The latter one belongs to companies making up the principal index of the Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels Stock Exchange as well as the Lisbon EuronextlOO. It confirms the strength of companies representing the business line in which Work Service also conducts its business.
