IN SEARCH OF HANDS WILLING TO WORK
The Work Service employment agency found a new niche – moves the production out of economic zones.
The Wrocław agency built its position at the market, searching for staff for hypermarkets and call centres. Then the boom of trips to Great Britain came and when the wave of economic migration slowly began to fall, Tomasz Szpikowski, the President of Work Service, conceived a new idea: to satisfy the needs of companies located in economic zones, he moves production lines to regions where the employment rate is considerably higher and workers are ready to accept lower rates. Among others, the Bader Company which sews upholstery for cars, based in Bolesławiec, for which 170 people work in the neighbourhood of Jarocin, has made use of these services or the TRW Company based in Częstochowa, manufacturer of safety belts. The growth of wages nationwide favours the largest employment agency. We are able to grow approximately 15% annually taking into consideration this factor only – says Szpikowski. In the first half of 2007, revenues of the Group having its branches, among others, in Great Britain and Czech Republic, were equal to 173 million PLN.
The company plans its debut at the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2008. It wishes to acquire between 150 and 200 million PLN, aimed mainly at acquisitions.
