The biggest event concerning the Human Capital will take place in October

On 7 and 8 October 2015, for the first time in Poland, Human Capital Economy CEE Congress will take place. The experts from the whole Central and Eastern Europe will participate in the Congress in order to discuss the problems of the European economy and the role of human capital in creating the competitive advantage of enterprises. This will be the biggest event in Poland combining the HR and economic subjects. The Congress is under honorary patronage of the Minister of Labour and Social Policy.

The Congress is a platform for dialogue on the key challenges for Europe and a chance to find suitable solutions. This is a special event, as it is emphasised by the organisers, since it focuses for the first time on the use of the human capital. Human Capital Economy CEE Congress is a new, important event among other such events taking place in Poland.

Polish Economy, as well as the one of the whole Central and Eastern Europe, has to face many new challenges. The ongoing changes in management and functioning of the enterprises, social changes, or demographic problems are the factors which need to be discussed and found new solutions to, which will let the economy operate and develop dynamically. We believe that the skilful use of human capital plays the key role in solving these problems and strengthening the competitive advantage of economies. Therefore, the main discussions during the Congress will be devoted to these fields. – says Tomasz Misiak, Vice President of the Advisory Board of Human Capital Economy CEE Congress.

As a part of Human Capital Economy CEE Congress discussion panels, Oxford debates as well as case-study presentations will take place on such subjects as i.e. migration as a challenge in human capital management, national models of management as a chance for an international success, education and career of young people, and the economic policy of the countries and enterprises.

The following key figures from almost all Polish and European economic sectors have decided to engage in this project, among others prof. Jerzy Hausner, Pedro Pereira da Silva (Country Manager, Jeronimo Martins Poland), Grażyna Piotrowska-Oliwa (President of the Management Board, Virgin Mobile), Jarosław Sroka (Partner, CEED Institute), Adam Sawicki (President of the Management Board, T-Mobile Poland), Kinga Piecuch (President of the Management Board, SAP Poland), Tomasz Hanczarek (President of the Management Board, Work Service SA), as well as many other experts, politicians, business leaders, and  human resources management practitioners.

The Advisory Board of Human Capital Economy CEE Congressis headed, among others, by:

  • Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Minister of Labour and Social Policy
  • Prof. UW dr. hab. Jacek Męcina, Secretary of State, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy
  • Grzegorz Hajdarowicz, President of the Supervisory Board, GREMI Media
  • Tomasz Misiak, President of the Supervisory Board, Work Service SA

The Congress will take place on 7 and 8 October in Sheraton Hotel in Warsaw. The main strategic partner of this event is Work Service SA, while the co-organizer and honorary patron is the Employers of Poland. The co-organizers were also joined by “Rzeczpospolita” daily and MMC Poland. HCE CEE Congress is under the honorary patronage of, among others, Minister of Labour and Social Policy, All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions and Polish Economic Society.
